Holy crap! Can it be? An actual, brand-new submission on my Deviant Art profile?!? Whatever could be occasion?
I got a new iMac computer for Christmas from my aunt and uncle. It's as big as my television, but it can run MAME two different ways, and now it can work with my tablet under GIMP. I just had to download the upgrade to the latest version though. Also, I wanted to experiment on how to use the computer as a painting medium with my tablet. As I've made mention here several times, adding light and shadow to flat colors is equivalent to shooting myself in the foot, but with this piece using the Burn, Dodge, and Smudge tools, I think I did pretty good. It could have been blended better with a transparent brush though, but it still falls under the "shading problems" I have.
Did you notice that the highlights and shadings give the ball more than one color?
